Nicola Campitelli

Born in 1978 , Nicola Campitelli graduates with full marks from the “L. D’Annunzio” Conservatory in Pescara. He refines his skills with Giampaolo Pretto , Michele Marasco, Carlos Bruneel and Angelo Persichilli . Essential for his flutist and musical training is the meeting with Giampaolo Pretto with whom he works as assistant in the Summer’s Masterclass in Portogruaro in 2011 and with which he collaborates as co-extensor of the "Dentro il Suono" method (DILS ). He has won several National and International Competitions, including: "Borse di studio S. Gazzelloni" Competition in 2001, National Chamber Music Competition "G.Rospigliosi" ed. 2002 (First Prize) and "Città di Grosseto" ed. 2002 (First Prize), "Anemos" Competition (First Prize). From 2000 to 2002 he becomes Principal flute of the “Orchestra Giovanile Italiana”. He has collaborated with numerous orchestras including Spiramirabilis, the Orchestra Regionale Toscana, Orchestra Sinfonica "G. Verdi " in Milan , The Colibrì Ensemble, The Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, The “Solisti di Pavia”, The Orchestra " A. Toscanini "in Parma, the Young Janacek Philarmonic Orchestra, I Solisti Aquilani,, performing in prestigious concert halls (National Auditorium of Madrid, Konzerthaus of Berlin, Philarmonie of Berlin, Auditorium of Rome, Theater Comunale di Bologna, Auditorium The Lingotto of Turin, Cadogan Hall of London, Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro, Center of Performing Arts of Shangaj, Auditorium of Beijing, etc. .. He boasts collaborations with many directors such as D. Gatti, GG Rath, C.M. Giulini, C. Abbado, Y. Ahronovitch, Z. Metha, E. Krivine, G. Noseda, , D. Rustioni, G. Ferro. In 2008 he performed as a soloist with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma performing the J. Ibert Concert conducted by Patrick Gallois. From 2003 to 2009 he was Principal Flute at the Rome Symphony Orchestra. In the last years he has been involved in an intense teaching activity and he is regularly invited to give courses and masterclasses for flute and chamber music in prestigious Music Academies. Now He’s teaching in Conservatorio “A. Steffani” in Castelfranco Veneto.
